Cris has worked for ESA as a Professional Development Coordinator for the past two years. She earned her BA from Augustana College in Sioux Falls with a major in special education and her MA in special education with an emphasis in Learning Disabilities and Emotional Disorders at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. Cris moved to Jackson Hole Wyoming in 1983 where she taught all grade levels of children with special needs for 15 years. Since returning to South Dakota in 1997 she has worked as a special education teacher, a School Support Team member with the State’s Title I office, and as a Federal Programs Director for the Mobridge District. Cris added to her educational accomplishments in May 2008 by completing an MS in Education Leadership and Administration at Northern State University in Aberdeen. Cris and her husband Tom live on their farm outside of Mobridge with their Golden Retrievers, cats and horses.
